The Gustafson Experience
When it comes to Real Estate, experience matters. Real Estate is a large purchase. It’s a home but it is also an investment. Losing site of that fact can be costly I’ve worked with people from the most experienced buyers and sellers to first time home buyers. The one thing they have in common is they are investing in Real Estate. I have seen Agents lose sight of that fact. They get caught up in the excitement of finding the right home which is understandable, its an exciting time, but consideration needs to be given to the investment aspect. Lets face it, life happens. Job transfers, families outgrow houses, families get smaller and downsizing become part of the equation. No matter the life event, your Real Estate investment needs to be treated first as a home, but also as an investment.
Leaving thirty years in Broadcast television behind where I negotiated contracts with large national companies such as Ford, GM, Pizza Hut, Pepsi, Southwest Airlines, etc, I turned to the Real Estate profession many years ago. Facinated with architecture at a very young age, it was a natural fit. Through the years, I have owned several homes. Currently, seeing Real Estate as the investment it is, I am invested in various properties. I try to help other buyers recognize the investment as well. Buyers, especially younger buyers buying their first home, as they walk through each and every exciting doorway filled with excitement, need to recognize that not only will this be their home, it will also be an investment that, as history has shown, will be an asset that gains in value. Whether looking at Real Estate as a first time home buyer, or a seasoned buyer or seller, my approach remains the same. “How would I treat this situation if it were my money?” I invest in Real Estate, and I can pass along that knowledge.
Working with new and existing clients, there is one constant. That is my belief in a higher, elevated standard of professionalism. It’s what I call “The Gustafson Experience”. Corners aren’t cut, details are important, and data has been analyzed to give clear direction. Data speaks volumes and becomes a critical part of consideration in future negotiations. Then, I utilize my 30+ years of negotiating experience to guide us through the negotiation process. Many have heard me say, “negotiation is a form of communication”. My clients, first time home buyers or seasoned buyers/sellers, have heard this. Together we stategize, and frame that communication so buying or selling, the right message comes across.
To sum up the Gustafson Experience, I’ll fall back on another statement, “not all agents are the same”. I hold a more intensive Real Estate Brokers license. Brokers, aside from the standard Real Estate Agent, are required to take courses and develop a deeper understanding of the Real Estate process. They are required to have an indepth knowledge of the contractural elements, ever changing mandatory compliance requirements, and the legalities involved. Couple the extensive knowledge with the high standard of professionalism and you can expect a smoother transaction. Its what I call the Gustafson Experience. Seller or buyer, feel free to reach out, I am happy to provide direction to put you on the path to a smooth Real Estate transaction.
Experience The Gustafson Experience for yourself.
